Selamat Hari Raya and Maaf Zahir Batin, everyone!! Hope your Raya this year has been nothing less than amazing! This year we celebrated our first few days of Raya in Singapore, then to Johor and Segamat where we visited hubs relatives, by the 4th day we were already making our way back to KL. And we are all superbly excited for the Raya Open House!
Planning a Raya Open House is no easy task, with a bunch of things needed to be taken into consideration. We always love open house as it is a great opportunity to mengeratkan silaturahim with all our friends and families, some of whom we met only once or twice a year. It took us weeks to organise this years Open House; sending invites, organising, preparing the menu and my favourite thing – redecorating the house!
We were really ecstatic that more many people came; with more than 50 something kids... we know because all our green packets finished by the end of the day!
Luckily there was enough food for all those hungry bellies! We were a little nervous as many guest stayed for lunch AND dinner!
We also spent a lot of time redecorating our space and added many designs to make this Hari Raya the most colourful and joyful one! Here are some of the pictures we took during our Hari Raya Open house!

Here's me and Mr Hubs. We just picked up new pillows to match the sofa and my kain batik! We also painted the background months ago with a plant mural. Mum said "Pandai kau paint the wall with plants, jadi tak payah nak siram air!" lol.
With Kakak and the two cheeky monkeys. What do I do without them!
These are pictures of hubs with his long time friends and colleagues from Leo Burnette. And my long time client, Noreha and hubs from Sunway Medical Centre.
And the colourful abstract paintings installed at the ground floor really match our lively mood!

This is Chun and Jacqueline, one of the members of MY Entrepreneurs Club posing in front of a realistic oil painting of picture perfect and colourful Manarola, Italy.
This is Salim and Nazrul from B Artistic Frame, we have worked with them for the past 4 years! God bless them for being so patient working with us, for the unthinkable and urgent requests to meet our customer's demands!
This is our wall of collage art, going up to the lower ground floor. It is all about spreading love and happiness on this wall, and they are all in mixed media

And my favourite place, the dining area! Our lovely collage art and shelf which is decorated with beautiful and quirky decor so our guests can enjoy Mama Gie's most talked about Sup tulang in a nice and fresh enviroment!
With Mama Gie and bibik, the one that makes everything possible!
For the kitchen, since we couldn’t find any elongated items to fill up the space, we added this painting of a European-style house, instead of any herbs and plants, ohh... I can imagine myself cooking in a country house in south of France back in 2016.

Yet another wall of collage art on the lower ground floor of achievements and success pictures; a little space dedicated to displaying your accomplishments and motivational elements that you can look at with pride!
And my favourite coral ocean painting that is reminiscent of our recent beach trip, and my personal feature wall on the left, with polaroid pictures and items that I picked up during my travels.
Don’t forget my little baby bunnies, Kopi and Latte. We even made matching portraits to show our love to these adorable critters! CUTE KAN!
And finally, last but not least, my sister, Salwa and her family celebrating Eid in Washington, D.C. Unfortunately, she was not able to physically be with us this year to celebrate it together, so we have these lovely photos instead. Missing my other two favourite nephews!!
What about you? Did you do anything different to your home this Hari Raya? We would love to hear from you!
