It has come to attention that I obviously have a strong crush on eclectic vibes since I am a huge admirer of colours and creative space. But when it comes to bringing things together, it seems easier said than done.

To be frank, it is plainly simple to get carried away with colours and buying home décor pieces based on gut instinct. Well, I must tell you this, but the key to creating an appealing and harmonious aesthetic is to plan out your core colour palette ahead of time. I know, a bit shocking huh?

You can see, eclectic décor may be quite flashy, flamboyant and may not appeal to or be liked by everyone around you... except you, apparently. The thing regarding its vibe is all about boundless conveyance, you may practically pick and choose a collection of various stuff together, but the question you must ask yourself is...

"how will all the design aspects flow together?"
Picture
Evidently, eclectic vibes design incorporates a variety of design aspects such as materials, period of time, styles, trends, and colours. Polka dots, geometric forms, and unusual patterns are all welcome in an eclectic setting. To maintain interesting aspects in your area and full of surprises, add pattern rugs, scatter soft cushions, vintage candle holders, and other treasurable items from various eras and countries!

Then, there is The Power of Three which is an important design guideline to remember. To create a harmonic and coherent aesthetic, make sure you have at least three of the same style or texture when merging your design elements.
Picture
In addition, a gallery wall is another great method to create a beautiful eclectic interior area! It brings individuality and flair to any area. You are free to express your creativity and individuality. This is the ideal opportunity to showcase your greatest photograph with other odd and eccentric artwork and, of course, excellent frames.

Do remember that the greatest method to create a stunning place with an eclectic vibe design is to have a meaningful link that binds all of your design elements together! Best wishes!

The most conventional design in the interior world nowadays is modern design. It lives up to its name and offers versatile and functional space, and it can make a bold statement in any interior area.

We might add that if you like spacious zone, clean lines, and a hint of minimalism, modern design may be the best style that suits you. By focusing on this particular design, you do not need to worry about having to maintain its contemporary flair.

Besides, it is difficult to specify its characteristics because this style is always evolving in the interior design society. There is still debate over what defines modern design, but one thing we can all agree on is that modern design is all about simplicity and functionality. It is just a matter of simplifying things.
Picture
When browsing the market for properties, you might observe that modern interior design is extensively used for houses, workplaces, and public areas. Its clean lines and simplicity create a trustworthy and professional appearance, which is a key selling factor among owners.

But then again, it does not mean that you cannot apply this style to your space. The simplest method to accomplish this design is to use white, beige, grey, and black as the primary colour palette for your interior area. Other colours can be used as well, as long as they are more earthy in tone. Additionally, metal, glass, and steel are commonly used when constructing and furnishings of current design styles.

Here is a modern design mix that will do well for your living room ideas. See how the monochrome colours complement each other?

With that, adding a statement piece oil painting to your modern design aesthetic is another method to start a discussion.

Pretty Pastel

There is something special and utterly remarkable about pastel colours. As you can see, pastel colours in home decor are just so charming, graceful, and attractive.

Likewise, pastels are pleasant and soothing to the human eye, and they have a serene impact that may convert a place into a peaceful refuge. And that is apparent when I said we all need a tranquil haven to decompress after a long day at work, and a pretty pastel decor is the ideal way to achieve this impression.

By combining delicate and pure white, the colour of perfection, with elegant colours such as pastel turquoise or purple is the simplest approach to make this a reality. There are colors like minty coral, lovely peach, cotton candy, and delicate lemon work that well together. Don't those phrases elicit feelings of affection in you? Oh, it is an absolute sure for me!
Picture
To boast this matter, pastel colours are fantastic since they go with almost every piece of furniture or décor. It can be crystal, dramatic lighting from a chandelier, sumptuous fabric, mirror, faux fur, and or even a table lamp! Those items are just a few of the materials that may help you create a sophisticated and beautiful atmosphere.

You could consider the following mood board as a source of inspiration; amazingly well-chosen pastel art pieces, vintage ottoman, and stunning gold home décor item that creates the ideal combo!
Picture
Another method to complete the appearance is to add an artwork, likely one of these selections of breathtaking oil painting.

Scandinavian Style

Picture
Of course, we have heard the term "Scandinavian style" a lot in the interior field, but what exactly does it mean? Definitively derived from Nordic origins, the Scandinavian design exhibits a light and subdued interior colour palette.

Apparently, this design is distinguished by clean lines and a modest accent of an attractive and polished appearance. The entire effect is modern but simple and utilitarian, comparable to my previous post's Minimalist look.

A perfect Scandinavian design focuses on minimal, clean lines, and a basic style that makes you feel peaceful and relaxed as it does aims to be as clutter-free, organized, and as simple as possible. It is also about making the most of natural light by producing open, brisk, and casual environments. In Scandinavian design, the décor is reduced to a minimum, as this also implies that bare walls and empty areas are acceptable.
Picture
Hence, if you search online for Scandinavian style ideas, you will discover that carpet is nearly non-existent as it is not necessary. In addition to that, the flooring is typically focused on wood and rawness of its nature, which is typically left in its original colour or even painted white.

Furthermore, the fundamental aspect of Scandinavian style is the use of clean, sleek, and contemporary furnishings inspired by nature. For your consideration, here are some thoughtful combinations of simple components that comprise Scandinavian style.
Picture
Contrary to popular belief, Scandinavian design does not have to be monotonous or plain and even boring. If you wish to live up your Scandinavian environment, complement your furnitures with basic and clean-lined artworks, such as these:

Alright, what exactly is Bohemian? If you go around the internet, you will find that there are many different variations of bohemian style, art, design, and lifestyle.

The reason for this is simple; mainly because of that a bohemian is always associated with unusual, distinctive, and artistic matter. It is a relaxed style of living that deviate from the norm. It is therefore, the essence of bohemia lies in its uniqueness and eccentricity.

Regarding the name, it is commonly inspired by people who live their lives with a strong sense of freedom of expression and are free-spirited, such as travellers, authors, painters, and so on. Other terms that could be used to refer to them are wanderers or adventurers.
Picture
Since bohemian design is heavily influenced by artists, a boho-centric area will generally have a variety of handcrafted products and accessories. These objects might take the shape of artworks, fabrics, carpets, or sculpture, all of which helps to preserve individual originality.

In fact, there are also many natural elements to be found. This idea manifests itself in the shape of textiles as well as plants. By filling a room with potted plants, hanging plants, succulents, and ferns it manages to bring the outside in while also creating a relaxing and serene look.

The distinct feature of bohemian beauty is that no two rooms are ever exactly identical, owing to your particular touch and expertise. And every single piece will always have a backstory—your narrative.

So if you want your home to be full of life and cultured, don't forget to pick an item every time you go out on your travel adventure!

Here are some ideas of artworks for you to get inspired. Remember, you do you!

Minimalist Look

Picture
Generally speaking, minimalism is the ability to live in a place that is congenial, useful, and at the same time, aesthetically pleasant. The bigger meaning of it, is to live with less.

Evidently, it is one of the greatest modern-day design that will add elegance and freshness to your home's decor. While on the surface, this work appears to be simple enough, in fact, it is tougher than anticipated. The best impact is achieved through using neutral or monotonous colours.

In reality, designing a beautiful, practical home with a basic concept is one of the most difficult tasks. Modern design is popular these days, especially among individuals whose primary concern is the functionality of their house. Aside from that, the clean and sharp design of contemporary interiors attracts homeowners who like a clutter-free and stress-free environment.
Picture
Speaking in a minimalist manner, choose elegant colours such as black, grey, and white while in the decorating session. This is the general guideline for most of your furnishings, but it is not required to keep to these muted tones, especially for your statement piece oil paintings. This is the perfect moment to show off your greatest interior features. By adding splashes of vibrant and powerful colours like pink, blue, and green is a great way to make a statement while staying true to your minimalist theme.

Thereafter, repetition, or the creation of many representations of the same forms, is one of the most prevalent characteristics of the minimalist aesthetic. Many paintings are incredibly basic, with as few lines or shapes as possible used to paint the image. Certain areas are smooth and polished, with no visible brushstrokes or traces of the artist's touch. For this, abstract art is also a common choice for minimalist design.

Coastal Living

4/8/2020

Picture
Well, you don't have to live near the beach to appreciate the tranquil atmosphere of coastal interior design. If you have your own space, it can be a great location to start by combining the colours of the sky, sea, and sand to create a dreamlike motif.

By the way, coastal living is becoming increasingly popular due to its refreshing, breezy, and light atmosphere. This is mostly due to the facts that sometimes we need to escape modern settings and immerse ourselves into a peaceful surrounding, thus, the beach.

Not to mention, the light colours of white, blue, turquoise, and beige, which resembles the colour of soft sandy beach, are among the first things that spring to mind when you think of coastal living.
Picture
When I think about them, I picture myself lying on the beach, feet buried in warm sand and all the while sipping a delightfully cool mango blended drink. The color's calming quality reminds me of the cool sea breeze that always embraces me while I am lounging at the beach.

Then, why not try to design a living room that takes us to that environment the moment you step foot into your nest, much like most of us dreamers who cannot afford a luxury home by the beach? Only hues of cyan, a greenish blue, a combination of the sky's reflection and marine algae, might be used to accurately portray the pristine look of the water.

When utilised in interior design, shades of cyan or turquoise are an eye-catchingly  beautiful colour with a complicated character that is somewhat soothingly basic. When I plonk myself on a white couch that resembles the sand after a long day at work, I can clearly envision myself resting on a beach.
We are all dreamers aren't we? But with a little imagination, this can all be reality.
Here are some pieces you might add to your house to generate a seaside ambiance even if you live in an urban area.
Picture

From coastal turquoise to bright tropical palettes, there are many different shades of colour that can help bring your favourite hues to your home.

How many times do you actually look up to the clear blue sky everyday? In this day and age, it seems like the blue we usually get are from the blue light from our modern gadget which deteriorates our eyesight and sleep quality. While you are here, spare 5 minutes to enjoy your reading.

Recently, I find myself savouring the time relaxing by the balcony outside of my terrace and sky gaze. These moments are just perfect for a break with the beautifully painted blue sky upon my eyes in the sky. It is positively affecting my mind and my body.
Picture
Blue is a naturally soothing colour that reminds us of the vast sea and cloudless sky. Research has shown that this colour can invoke rest and causes the body to produce chemicals which are calming and radiate a calming feeling.

Majority of us rarely remember to take a break and look up to the sky during busy times. Associating different blue tones and shades into your interior space gives a modern touch and boosts your well-being too.

Incorporating a light shade of blue decoration and stationeries in the home office gives a sense of calmness which could destress you during working hours at home. Introducing blue colour to your interior space could also be done on a small scale with blue sky paintings and blue pillows for your couch.

Blue can be intense and strong if used throughout the main area of a room such as painting the whole room blue. Therefore, incorporating various shades of blue is the best way to make the space calmer rather than exciting and to break the monochromatic colour.

Orange Is The Happiest Colour

4/2/2020

When you need to make a change on the inside, the easiest place to start is with your surroundings. In addition to that statement, a bright splash of colour may make a cheerful atmosphere and a joyful attitude.

Well then, let me introduce you to the colour orange! As you can see, orange is a fiery, passionate, and vivid colour associated with the sun and fire. If you enjoy being surrounded by pleasure and merriment, it can be the perfect colour for your inside space!

Quite often, we underestimate the colour orange since it is strong and kind of in-your-face but being surrounded by it will just give you a refreshing and relaxed feeling. Obviously, this colour has an active and vibrant personality and should therefore be used in locations where there will be a lot of activity.
Picture
By the way, the colour orange can do so much more than merely decorate a place; it can have an influence on people simply by being present. Well-being, both emotionally and physiologically.

Might I add, orange colour tones are similar to yellow and red colours, and they may make great accents in a variety of different room colours. When used sparingly in home design colour schemes, optimistic and bright orange colour hues are safe and extremely useful.
Picture
Picture
Moreover, tones and hues of light and deep orange are flexible and may be used in any space or interior design style. By bringing orange oil paintings or accessories like as candle holders, floor rugs, or pillow covers to the frame it also adds warm and positive energy into the space and may create a fashionable and welcoming ambiance.
Picture
If you are looking for things with a dash of orange to bring a unique touch to your home design, this vibrant hue is the ideal (surprisingly) complement to your fresh, modern style. Here are some examples of designs to get you started:
